Fannie B. Dorsey, 1907-1992 - In Memoriam and TributeShe served Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown and the Commonwealth of Kentucky as director of the Kentucky Division for Aging Services 1980-81. She made a great impact on many people while teaching at both elementary and high school levels, but upon her retirement from teaching, she became a tireless advocate for aging services. She was an active Methodist churchwoman and served on so many other boards and supported so many worthy causes that they would be far to numerous to note here.
Fannie Boone was born in Union County, Kentucky, but graduated from Owensboro's Western High School. She received r teaching degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and married the late Rev. Irby Dorsey there in 1942.
