Issued September 5, 1978
Reissued August l, l989
Do not make person-to-person telephone calls or accept collect calls on AACS lines unless specifically approved by the Executive Director, Associate Director, or component program head (i.e., Assisted Housing/WX Director, FPP/FRP Clinical Supervisor, Head Start Director, GRITS Manager, SCP/FGP Director, RSVP Director, etc.)
For incoming collect calls get the number and call your party by direct distance dialing if you need to call back at AACS expense for official business.
Knowing that no one (including AACS receptionists) will accept a collect call at any AACS office, staff may call an AACS office or official collect in order to signify that the receiving office should return a call to the calling office or party. Too, this procedure could enable the respective CAA offices, or other AACS offices, to avoid phone charges that actually belong to Head Start, GRITS, RSVP, SCP/FGP, or other projects. No program should absorb the costs for another project simply because the staff logs are too incomplete to bill the responsible project.
Please keep your telephone calls to the necessary minimum. Use the mail, be brief in your calling, and dial direct unless toll free or direct line service is available.
PLEASE GIVE STRICT ATTENTION TO POSTING ALL CALLS ON YOUR TELEPHONE LOG.
