Please be advised that, unless the Chairman of the Board is directly specified by the respective grantor agency, the Executive Director, is "the authorized official" who is to sign all grant requests, proposals, amendments or other money-related documents, including financial reports, contracts and other such instruments.
In my absence from the agency, the Chief Financial Officer has that authority. No other staff person is authorized to execute his/her signature on these documents without a specific authorization from me — and I have thus far granted none. If there is a particular need for an exception to this = directive, please advise me.
In all cases, copies of these documents are to be placed on my desk for my review and filing. Copies shall also be provided to each respective project director holding the management responsibility for that project and a copy shall in all cases be forwarded to the Financial Administrator for filing.
