AACS Long Range Strategic Thinking Committee, 1996-97

This committee formulated the five-goal strategy now underway. Those five elements are the basis of the AACS Strategic Directions, 1997-2002 plan approved by the AACS Board of Directors February 18, 1997. (Click on the Strategic Directions link above to review that plan.) The status of the Plan's five elements as of February 21, 1998 are as follows:

• Board Development | Second level planning and thorough By-Laws revision was completed through the work of the Executive Committee of the Board and adopted by the full Board in April 1997; implementation underway
• Organizational Identity | The new AACS Mission Statement and Statement of Purpose was developed by the Strategic Marketing Committee and adopted by the AACS Board in February 1998
• Strategic Marketing | An agency-wide Marketing Plan is currently being developed by the Strategic Marketing Committee and an Ad Hoc Marketing Plan Committee
• Organizational Culture | The Organizational Development Committee, with the input and assistance of the AACS senior management staff, is currently working on an improved organizational structure being developed; organizational culture issues being addressed
• Human Resource Management | Means for improved staff deployments, performance-based culturation, and better cross-utilization of resources are under review bt the Organizational Development Committee
