The AAHS Policy Council met at Audubon Area Community Services,
Inc. in Dawson Springs on October 11, 1996. The meeting was called
to order at 1:45 p.m. by Rhondalyn Randolph. Rev. Marsiglio made
a motion to dispense with roll call. Dwight Jackson seconded the
motion; motion carried. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes:
Rhonda Rowan made a motion to approve the Minutes from the last
meeting. Mike Bennett Sutherlin seconded the motion; motion carried.
Approval of Agenda:
Dorothy Graff made a motion to approve the Agenda. Rev. Baize
seconded the motion; motion carried.
Old Business:
Approval for Request for Johnson & Johnson Expenses, Approval
for Transition Funds for FY97, and Approval of Budget Amendment,
Western Kentucky University Delegate, FY96. Mike Bennett made
a motion to approve all of the above proposals. Kim Teal seconded
the motion; motion carried.
Committee Reports:
No committee reports for the month of October.
New Business:
Approval of the Community Representatives as stated on Policy
Council Roster. Bill Hailey made a motion to approve the new Community
Representatives. Connie Wilson seconded the motion; motion carried.
Approval of the Personnel Policies & Procedures. Rev. Greg
Baize made a motion to approve these. Tammy West seconded the
motion; motion carried.
Approval of the Component Plans & Procedures. Belinda Simmons
made a motion to approve these. Connie Wallace seconded the motion;
motion carried.
Nominations for Officers. Nominations were taken from the floor
for the Officers of the 1996-97 Policy Council. Nominations were
as follows: Secretary - Rev. Greg Baize, Ohio County and Kimberly
Teal, Webster County; Parliamentarian - Roger Marsiglio, Webster
County (Declined Nomination) and Josephine Tarrant, Daviess County;
Vice-Chairperson - Dorothy Graff, Christian County and Connie
Wallace, Crittenden County. One page biographies are to be submitted
to the Central Office by October 18th.
Directors, Budget, and Coordinators Report:
Vicki Ratcliffe made a motion to accept the reports. Belinda Simmons
seconded the motion; motion carried. Reports were received and
filed for the record.
Forum - Open Discussion - Questions & Answers:
Vicki Ratcliffe brought it to the attention of the council that
Henderson County doesn=t
have a agency vehicle. Aubrey stated that the agency is looking
into buying more vehicles.
Belinda Simmons asked about fund-raisers. Carol Krampe explained
that we permit only one fund-raiser a year.
Cheryl Hodges congratulated the staff on a great retreat this
year.
Chairperson Rhondalyn Randolph welcomed all the new members to
the council.
