Total Population -- based on July 1995, estimates as stated in March 1996, USA Today. 2. % Below Poverty Level -- based on 1990 data as stated in the 1995 Kentucky Deskbook of Economic Statistics. 3. Per Capita Income -- 1994 data provided by University of Kentucky. 4. % Unemployed -- based on Kentucky Labor Force Estimates (revised) June 1996. 5. # DES Job Openings -- based on data available September 18, 1996. Note that this was a count of job openings available as of a point in time. These numbers can and will fluctuate on a daily basis. 6. Licensed Child Care Slots -- based on information available September 10, 1996. This is the number of slots licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, however, data concerning openings within those slots is not available. 7. Certified Child Care Slots -- based on information available November 1, 1996. This is the number of slots certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, however, data concerning openings within those slots is not available. 8. Unregulated Child Care Slots -- based on information available November 8, 1996. this is the number of unregulated child care providers that have provided child care services within the last 12 months, however, data concerning current openings is not available. 9. All AFDC related data -- based on information on the KAMES system as of September 12, 1996. 10. # FRYSC's -- based on information provided by OPB on November 11, 1996.
