Under contract with the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children, the AACS, Inc. will, as Child Care Assistance Program "service agent" (one of 5 in the Commonwealth), assume the child care subsidy operations previously performed by the Kentucky Department for Social Services. The AACS will "broker" child care payments in the range of $19 million to $24 million per year and also provide a broad range of support services for some 6,601 recipients under this program.
