Guidelines for Participants

If a participant does not stay for the entire class - if they are late or leave early - their certificate will be adjusted accordingly. Mark out the number of hours on the certificate, show the actual number of hours they attended and initial it. This does not apply to Orientation classes. If a participant is more than 15 minutes late for an Orientation class of any kind, they will be turned away. It is mandatory they receive the full Orientation training.
Evaluations are very important to us and must be used at all trainings. The evaluations must be given to each participant and turned in before a certificate will be issued. Please include all constructive comments. All evaluations are read individually and information is used for state reports. We can also use the information from the evaluation sheets to help us provide quality in our future trainings. These must be turned in along with sign-in sheets promptly to the local Resource and Referral Agency.
Each training participant must sign in individually - only signature that will be accepted will be from the person registered.
Please be considerate to others around you. Silence all cell phones and pagers. If it is necessary to receive a call, please step outside of the classroom.
Personal conversation during trainings keeps others from learning and is disrespectful to all. Please refrain from conversations unrelated to classroom participation. If you are disruptive, you will be given a warning. If the problem persists, you will be asked to leave. Any disruptions (talking, sleeping, reading of non-class material, leaving the room for prolonged periods of time, tardiness, etc) will result in no certificate being issued.
Training participants are responsible for having at least a copy of their own certificate for future reference and for your own personal record.
If schools are closed in the county that you are taking a training class, due to bad weather, then the training will be cancelled as well. You will be notified by phone by the contact person if classes are cancelled for any other reason.
No children will be allowed in the trainings. Provisions should be made in advance for your child care needs.
